A FISHERMAN was confronted with a surprise of the slithery kind when he found a 4m-long king cobra trapped in his net at Sungai Batu, Teluk Kumbar.
Penang Civil Defence Department southwest district chief Lieutenant Zunaidin Abdullah said they rushed to the fishing village after receiving a call at 5.44pm on Monday to secure the 9kg reptile.
