Jail sentence for property owners building without a permit

No permit: This building in Jalan Universiti may face demolition as the owners started construction without first getting approval from the council.

THE Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is coming down hard on owners who begin construction without getting the green light first.

At least three properties around the city have been issued with stop-work orders over the final quarter of last year and one building in Section 5 was demolished in the past month.
