No solution yet to subsidised rice shortage

Concerned: Only non-subsidised rice is available at supermarkets inthe central region.

SIBU: There is no solution yet to the acute shortage of subsidised rice to the central region though the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister has indicated that he will look into the matter.

A spokesman of the Sibu Rice Wholesalers Association, Eric Wong, said yesterday that they were not excited at all with the statement made by Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob through Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing which was published in a local Chinese daily on Thursday.
