Safety first: All Petron petrol stations in Perak now a Safety hub.

ALL 55 Petron Malaysia’s service stations in Perak have been transformed into “safety hubs” for customers and local communities who need police assistance.

The safety hubs are called “Go-To-Safety-Points” (GTSP) which is an initiative led by the police under the umbrella of the United Against Crime programme.

Petron Malaysia, the pioneering oil company to join the GTSP, supports the government-led initiative as part of its core advocacy on safety.

Petron had also recently announced that all of its 560 stations nationwide were now safety hubs.

Its head of retail Faridah Ali said motorists can enjoy Petron products and services in a more secured environment.

She said the stations were secured and well lit, especially at night, so motorists would feel safe to refuel.

“People who are in need of police assistance or emergency services can also seek help at our stations,” she added.

Under the programme, dealers and station personnel are trained to assist the public and contact the police and other services in case of emergencies.

Petron’s “Treats” convenience stores also have “de-stress corners” for the public to seek comfort and assistance.
