E-waste collection drive

KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent Society of SJK Chung Hua No 5 here is organising an e-waste collection drive on Jan 31.

Members of the public can drop off old and obsolete electronic items such as computers, printers, mobile phones, cables, lithium ion batteries, kitchen appliances and televisions at the school premises from 9am to noon.

The objective of the drive is to encourage the public to safely dispose of electronic waste in order to preserve the environment.

Members of the public can also donate used clothes during the collection drive.

Proceeds from the sale of the e-waste and clothes will be given to charity.
