Foundation donates essential items and cash aid

HAI-O Foundation contributed RM250,000 to help flood victims in the east coast states.

A part of the donation, RM150,000, was in the form of essential items, including food, drinking water and blankets.

“This is the worst flood that has hit the country so far, and it saddens me to see so many people suffering especially children, pregnant women and the elderly, who were left homeless.

“As such, we wish to extend a helping hand by giving out these essential items ito ease their pain and hardship,” said Hai-O Group managing director Tan Kai Hee.

He added that the items would be distributed to the victims in batches while the cash would be channelled to the Sin Chew Daily flood relief fund.
