Planning to travel at the end of the year, or in 2026? Then make sure to check out all the travel fairs happening this weekend in Kuala Lumpur and online, some of which will continute right up to "9.9", or Sept 9.

There's the Matta Fair (Sept 5-7 at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur), Trip.com’s "9.9 Mega Sale", and Malaysia Airlines' "Online Travel Fair".

In fact, Trip.com and Malaysia Airlines are collaborating together to offer travellers more holiday package options.

First off, on Sept 5, Malaysia Airlines is offering its "Fly For Less" deal to Trip.com users, which features all-in return fares from as low as RM299 to destinations like Bangkok (Thailand), Shanghai and Guangzhou (China). This deal is limited to two passengers per booking, per Trip.com account. So if you are planning a travel in a group, make sure you get at least one or two friends/family members – with Trip.com accounts – to help with the booking.

You can enjoy even more savings – up to 50% off Malaysia Airlines flights, and 15% off on Malaysia Airlines Business Class tickets, and more – by using the promo codes, which will only be available on Sept 5. So, remember to turn on your Trip.com app notifications to get these promo codes!

There are also promo code deals for Mastercard users, on Sept 5 and 9.

Meanwhile, hotel promo codes will drop every midnight from Sept 5 to 9, with an additional 12pm reveal on Sept 9. (Tip: Be on standby at 11.45pm the night before each date to ensure you're one of the first to get the promo code.)

Some of the hotels that are taking part in the sale include Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur, Parkroyal Penang Resort and Mercure Langkawi Pantai Cenang.

There are deals and discounts on entrance tickets to major attractions, not just in Malaysia but in Japan, too.

From Sept 6 to 8, attractions like Legoland Malaysia and SplashMania waterpark feature "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" deals; the Japan-exclusive Universal Studios and Kansai bundles will be available on Sept 5 at 2pm.

Renting a car is made even more convenient with discounts of up to 30%, with early bird coupons offering an extra 50% off. Among the available destinations are Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and South Korea.

Head to Trip.com to check out all the deals, and to read the terms and conditions. You can also go to the Malaysia Airlines website to see the airline's own promotions.
