The Miss Universe pageant turns 65 in June 2017, but one of the competition's special awards that never gets old is Best National Costume. Colombia and Thailand have won 6 times. Brazil, Korea and Panama have taken the title 4 times. Malaysia's closest claim to the award was in 1978 when Yasmin Yusuff came in third with her outfit.
