Yazit Ahmad, the drummer and founding member of popular Malaysian rock band Search, died today at 57. Yazit was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning (Sept 24) after he was unable to breathe.
Yazit's son told The Star's Malay-language portal mStar the renowned musician suffered from brain damage because of a lack of oxygen and had to be put on life support. Just before noon today (Sept 26), Yazit breathed his last. Prior to his death, Yazit had been seeking treatment for kidney failure.
