English soul pop singer John Newman has a cinematic opening for his second studio album Revolve.
The opening track features actor Idris Elba delivering a monologue questioning the choices we make every day. It’s a passionate speech delivered against a dramatic, yearning music – something one would expect as a scene from a post-apocalyptic movie. But if you’re expecting that theme to carry on throughout Newman’s album, then you’ll be sorely disappointed.
