SWEDISH pop rock duo Roxette achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s with hits like It Must Have Been Love and Listen To Your Heart. In 2002, vocalist Marie Fredriksson was diagnosed with malignant brain tumour and it would seem like the end for two-piece band. 

Against all odds, she overcame cancer and in 2009, surprised audience with a solo performance in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Then in 2011, Fredriksson announced that she’d reunite with fellow bandmate and guitarist Per Gessle for a worldwide tour.

This album recorded in 2012, features live performances from the duo’s concert in Santiago, Chile. Longtime fans would be happy to hear Fredriksson sing hits like Fading Like A Flower, Dressed For Success, Sleeping In My Car and more. 

Of course, fans would also be delighted to hear Roxette perform It Must Have Been Love, one of their biggest and most-recognised hits. She lets the audience sing the song for her before launching into a rocking performance of her own. 

At 55, Fredriksson may not sound like how she used to anymore. But judging from her energetic performances, it’s good to know that she hasn’t lost her mojo.
