Encik Abd Rani Hj Abd Razak, known to many as Cikgu Rani, was the former chief History teacher at Penang Free School. Renowned for his deep expertise in the SPM Sejarah papers, he built a solid reputation both within the school and among history teachers across the state. He was first posted to PFS in the early 2000s, left briefly in the 2010s, and returned in 2020.
