When you get stung by a bee or a wasp, the best thing to do is remove their venom from your skin as quickly as possible – especially if you have an allergy.

Putting a moist sugar cube on the sting will extract the venom from the wound, according to Christine Eichler, head doctor at the Evangelical Centre for Geriatric Medicine in Potsdam, Germany.
