Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is also Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, took to social media on Malaysia’s National Day, to share a heartwarming eight-minute video.
The clip also includes a special message from him: “Malaysia belongs to all of us.
"Let us safeguard its sovereignty, respect our differences, and strengthen our spirit of togetherness so that our nation continues to shine in the eyes of the world.
"Let us ignite our love, responsibility, and loyalty to our homeland. Fly the Jalur Gemilang (national flag) with pride."
The video, which aligns with this year’s National Day theme, *Malaysia Madani: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati*, stars actor Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan as a grandfather spending quiet moments with his granddaughter, played by child actress Zarra Zhaf (Khadam).
They talk about the true meaning of independence through themes of sacrifice, unity and trust.
The video is part of an initiative by Petra, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation.
