Police in Florida responded on Tuesday to the home of celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who appeared naked and covered in blood as he apparently cut himself with a knife during a disturbing TikTok live stream earlier the same night, according to reports

The Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TMZ it received multiple calls “regarding an individual who was live-streaming acts of self harm on social media,” triggering their response to Hilton’s residence in Miami. When they arrived on the scene, officers spoke with his family, who told them he was alone inside the home.

Deputies were ultimately ordered to “tactically disengage,” and they “continue to keep an eye on the situation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

“The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,” it continued. “The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”

The livestream, clips of which quickly began to circulate online Tuesday night, have since been pulled from TikTok. - New York Daily News/TNS
