The wedding of Malaysian model-actress Lisa Ch'ng and Hong Kong actor Mat Yeung is shaping up to be a lavish affair.
In June, the couple announced their plans to tie the knot in Kuala Lumpur on Aug 2 and have reportedly spared no expense in preparing for their big day over the past two months.
According to Hong Kong portal hk01, the wedding is expected to cost more than HK$1mil (RM521,672).
To commemorate their 10-year relationship, Ch'ng and Yeung travelled to Shanghai, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur for a series of pre-wedding photoshoots before heading to Guangzhou to film a creative wedding video.
Fashion is also set to take centre stage at the wedding.
For her Hong Kong pre-wedding shoot, the article mentioned Ch'ng became the first bride in the city to wear a gown from The Atelier by Prof Jimmy Choo's latest Autumn/Winter 2026 Twilight Stellaris couture collection. The luxury bridal label was founded by renowned designer Datuk Prof Jimmy Choo.
On her wedding day, Ch'ng will also wear a traditional Chinese wedding attire by a Malaysian bridal brand before changing into several evening gowns from three internationally renowned designers, ensuring multiple glamorous looks throughout the celebration.
For the record, Ch'ng is the daughter of late Malaysian tycoon Datuk Bill Ch'ng Chong Poh.
Her older sister Jacquelin, 46, is also an actress based in Hong Kong.
