Retired Hong Kong actor Dickson Lee has largely kept a low profile since leaving the entertainment industry in 2018.
The 59-year-old relocated to Penang a year later, where he has embraced a quieter and more laid-back lifestyle with his wife Judy Cheng, whom he married in 1994.
Recent photos of Lee have surfaced online, with many noting that he has aged gracefully and appears happier.
Fans said the former TVB star looks much the same as he did during his acting days, though with a more mature and composed appearance.
According to reports, Lee now spends much of his free time travelling, fishing at sea and indulging in durians.
He and his wife own a HK$1.5mil (RM779,152) seafront apartment in Batu Ferringhi.
In a past interview with local media, Lee revealed that he chose to settle in Penang because of its friendly community and lower cost of living compared with Hong Kong.
“Malaysians love watching TVB dramas, and many can speak fluent Cantonese, so there are no language barriers. I’m really enjoying this simple retirement life,” he said.
For the record, Lee joined TVB’s artist training class in 1986 and is known for dramas such as Plain Love II, Gods Of Honour and Queen’s Office: OL Supreme.
In 2005, he was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category at the TVB Anniversary Awards for his performance in the 2004 drama The Academy.
