Harry Styles collapse at London concert caused by choking, not heat

Harry Styles’ brief but jarring collapse during his London performance over the weekend was not a result of the heatwave affecting Europe, but choking.

Insiders close to the sold-out Wembley Stadium concert told TMZ that the moment was due to “a brief onstage mishap involving water” during the 32-year-old star’s “whale move.” It was then that the singer inadvertently choked on the water.

A TikTok shows the moment Styles “went literally on the floor,” lying on stage, on his back — to the applause of the crowd — and slowly but surely started coughing, before jumping back up. The Grammy winner then ran across the stage and waved to the crowd, as flickers of his hit, As It Was, sounded.

Friday though brought record-breaking heats to England, which sweltered through a whopping 36.9 degrees Celsius, or 98.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

The One Direction alum is currently on his Together Together tour, announced back in January and featuring multiple residencies, including one at Madison Square Garden from Aug 26 through Oct 31. It wasn’t long before reports of fans selling blood to afford tickets.

In March, Styles released his long-awaited fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

The professional news has been somewhat overshadowed by that of his whirlwind engagement to Zoe Kravitz, to whom he was first linked in summer 2025. - New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
