Retired Taiwanese actress Brigitte Lin Ching-hsia recently made an appearance at Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she delivered a guest lecture and shared her life experiences with students.

The 71-year-old left acting after marrying Hong Kong businessman Michael Ying in 1994.

Although it has been more than three decades since she stepped away from the industry, she remains fondly remembered for films such as Outside The Window (1973), Red Dust (1990), Swordsman II (1992) and The Bride With White Hair (1993).

Since retiring from showbiz, Lin has turned to writing and has also been awarded a doctoral title.

Her recent appearance at the university drew attention online after students shared video clips from the session. She appeared relaxed and at ease on stage, impressing many with her composure.

Attendees described her as “poised and gracious” throughout the talk, noting that she remained warm and approachable during interactions afterwards.

Online, many also praised her for ageing naturally, calling her presence both authentic and elegant.

Needless to say, Lin continues to inspire even beyond her years in the spotlight.
