Hong Kong actress and television host Winki Lai recently treated her eight-year-old son Marat to a fun-filled getaway in Sabah.

On April 6, the 39-year-old shared a carousel of photos from their trip, featuring the duo posing in front of an AirAsia plane, playing with fireworks on the beach and enjoying a boat ride.

Their adventures also included sampling local delights, from satay to the iconic “King of Fruits”.

Lai captioned her post: “A trip just for me and him. Through the sky and the sea, I’ll be by his side all the way.”

The TVB star also included a series of hashtags that, together, formed a message: “The most beautiful scenery is always the people around you. Every trip is part of an unfinished journey. This one is enough for us to remember for a lifetime.”

Many netizens have flooded the comments section with welcoming messages.

“Sabah welcomes you! I hope you and your son have a wonderful time,” said one fan.

Another wrote: “Arrange a longer trip! One week isn’t enough to explore everything.”

Lai shares another one-year-old son Kavis with stage actor Benny Leung, who she dated for five years before marrying in August 2017.

She’s known for her performances in dramas such as Blue Veins (2016), Stealing Seconds (2018),  Al Cappuccino (2020), and more.
