Cher’s son with late musician Gregg Allman was arrested Sunday for allegedly breaking into a home in Windham, New Hampshire — the second time he had a run-in with Granite State law enforcement over the weekend.
Windham Police responded to a report of a forced entry, and when officers arrived they found Elijah Allman, 49, of Malibu, in the home even though he didn’t have permission to be there, according to a release from the department.
Allman was charged with burglary, two counts of criminal mischief, and breach of bail, the department said. He was arraigned Monday morning at Salem District Court and held on “preventative detention,” according to the statement.
Two days earlier, Allman had been arrested for causing a disturbance at a boarding school in Concord.
In that incident, police responded to a report of an “unwanted guest” at St. Paul‘s School just before 7pm Friday, according to the department. Allman had been allegedly “causing a disturbance and acting belligerently,” Concord Police said in a statement.
The department noted that Allman did not have a connection to the school.
He was charged with two counts of simple assault and one count each of criminal trespassing, criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct.
After that arrest, Allman was released on his personal recognisance. His arraignment for those charges is scheduled for April 20.
Allman’s parents are two legendary musicians: Cher, 79, and Gregg Allman, who started the aptly named Allman Brothers Band with his brother Duane in the 1970s. Allman died in 2017.
