Former American Idol contestant Randy Madden was arrested for allegedly having sex with a minor.
Madden, 45, is facing six felony charges in California for unlawful sexual intercourse, oral copulation of a person under 18, anal and genital penetration by foreign object, sending harmful matter, luring, and dissuading a witness from reporting a crime, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
The charges stem from at least one alleged incident that occurred between July and September of this year. The age of the victim was not made clear.
Madden was booked into Ventura County Jail last week, according to online records. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him and was released from custody early Tuesday (Nov 4) morning. Court officials told TMZ he posted US$100,000 (RM419,222) bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov 13.
