That is exactly what Malaysian A-list couple Fattah Amin and Amira Othman did and fans can’t stop talking about it.
Turns out, Fattah and Amira were secretly engaged back in February, but no one knew until a TikTok video of the ceremony suddenly popped up online.
In the clip, the celebrity pair are all smiles in matching white outfits, serving major “we’re made for each other” energy.
The intimate ceremony was as low-key as it gets, only involving just family and hype within them.
Fans quickly began piecing together the chronology of their romance, believed to have started at the end of last year, long before their marriage on Sept 14.
The event also featured a touching moment when Fattah’s mother, Azizah Abdul Ghani, placed a ring on Amira’s finger as both families looked on.
Even the engagement gifts were kept simple, because apparently, that is what Fattah wanted.
“Fattah and Amira are genuinely kind-hearted people.
“He wanted a simple ceremony; otherwise, he could have easily gone for a fancier one,” said the owner of Cendol Kenduri Malaysia, who helped prepare the engagement tray.
“As for the ring, Fattah was fine with bringing it as is, but I added a small touch to make it look neater,” the decorator added.
Netizens, naturally, were shook.

After months of keeping it under wraps, the couple tied the knot in a cosy ceremony at a Sepang resort.
Then came the big reveal with a lavish reception at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, followed by another celebration at Melawati Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
