Chinese actress Sun Li, best known for her role in the acclaimed drama Empresses In The Palace, has been praised for her dedication to a healthy lifestyle after revealing her homemade meal plan on Weibo.
The 42-year-old star has not only enjoyed a steady acting career since entering the industry in 2001, but also captured public attention with her personal life.
Earlier this year, her daughter made headlines when she won first place at an international Latin dance competition in London.
Sun, who is married to actor Deng Chao, is a proud mother of two children aged 11 and 13.
Her latest viral moment, however, came from something much simpler – a plate of food.
Sun shared photos of what she called her “fat-reducing plate,” which immediately shot to the top of Weibo’s trending searches, according to Sin Chew Daily.
The meal, she explained, was both simple and nutritionally balanced, with vegetables making up the largest portion, accompanied by eggs, meat and other sources of protein.
Each plate varied in content but always reflected quality home-cooked food.
In her caption, she wrote: “After eating clean for a period of time, I feel really good. Every meal has vegetables, meat and rice. It looks simple, but it’s nutritionally balanced.”
She emphasised that weight is just a number, and the focus should be on body composition – less fat, more muscle.
Sun added: "Seriously, eating properly can also help you lose weight.”
Netizens praised her meal plan, calling it “colourful and varied,” with some even saying, “I want to eat clean meals like you.”
