Not two weeks ago (July 28), Canadian actress Christy Chung, 54, shared photos on Instagram of her daughter Jaden celebrating her 17th birthday.

Jaden is Chung’s second daughter; the actress has three girls in total, including Yasmine, 27, and Cayla, 15. Netizens often praise the youthful-looking Chung for appearing more like her daughters’ sister than their mother.

However, her worries as a mother became apparent during a recent live stream, when she received distressing news about Jaden, causing concern among her fans.

Known for engaging with her followers through live broadcasts, Chung shared during the session that she's worried about her daughter’s injury.

According to Dimsum Daily, Jaden had sustained a cruciate ligament injury during volleyball training and was scheduled for surgery as soon as possible. Her recovery is expected to take around six months.

Jaden and Cayla are Chung’s children with her second husband, Taiwanese music producer Jon Yen. Her eldest daughter, Yasmine, was born in 1998 during her marriage to British husband Glen Ross.

Chung is currently married to Shawn Zhang, who is 12 years her junior. It's reported all three daughters have taken the surname Zhang.
