US pop diva Mariah Carey (pic) will be back in Singapore to perform at Arena @ Expo on Oct 8. Ticket presales start on Aug 12, general sales on Aug 20.

The show is part of the 56-year-old’s global tour, The Celebration Of Mimi, which includes dates in Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Japan.

Named after her 2005 album The Emancipation Of Mimi, the series of shows included a residency in Las Vegas in 2024 and 2025.

Famous for her five-octave vocal range, Carey is one of the best-selling singers of all time. She holds the record for the most No.1 singles by a solo artiste in the US, including Hero (1993), Fantasy (1995) and We Belong Together (2005).

Her signature festive tune, All I Want For Christmas Is You (1994), is also the most-streamed holiday song of all time.

She has released 15 albums, including her 1990 self-titled debut that topped the US Billboard album charts. Her most recent one, Caution, was released in 2018.

She recently dropped two singles, Type Dangerous and Sugar Sweet, which will be included in her upcoming 16th album, Here For It All, set for release on Sept 26.

In June, she was awarded the Ultimate Icon Award at the 2025 BET Awards in Los Angeles. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
