Meghan Markle has bared her soul and her bare face in her first ever podcast interview, appearing makeup free in a black sweatsuit and white sneakers.

“Meghan is opening up like never before, and shares real, raw and soul-filling stories, insights and inspiration. I’ve never cried so much in an interview, in the BEST possible way,” host Jamie Kern Lima teased about the latest episode of her podcast in an Instagram post.

“And she and I decided to do the episode the same way we spend most of our time together – with no makeup on, in our sweats, and cozied up in these two rocking chairs I have at my house. And today, we’re inviting YOU to join us in the rocking chairs!”

In the interview, Meghan is visibly emotional while speaking about her husband, Prince Harry, and the public scrutiny she faces daily.

“I wasn’t expecting that one,” she says while wiping her tears in a clip from the teaser. “This is why it’s so nice to not have makeup on.”

The duchess went on to express why she is done seeking approval.

“We spend so much of our lives trying to prove something,” she told Lima. “To prove that you’re enough. You have to prove that you’re pretty enough. You have to prove that you’re smart enough. You have to prove that you’re a good wife, or a good friend, and I was like, ‘I’m just so done with the prove-it game.’ And if you can’t see it, I can’t, I don’t need to prove to you why. That’s your loss.”

She went on: “I know how I show up, and I love being able to be that person with the people that I love. So worthiness … maybe part of worthiness comes when you stop having to feel like you’re in the prove-it game.”

Meanwhile Lima echoed a similar sentiment responding, “Hallelujah. I am getting emotional right now,” the IT Cosmetics co-founder replied. “Getting out of the prove-it game, like, feels like joy, tastes like freedom.”

The 43-year-old actress also revealed how her relationship with her husband, Harry, remained private in their early stages of dating.

“People didn’t know we were dating for— talk about memory lane, so long ago — I mean, it’ll be our seven-year wedding anniversary soon,” the duchess continued. “I couldn’t tell anyone who I was dating and he was keeping — so I think we were on just a letter basis. And then it stuck.”

Also the host of her own podcast, Confessions Of A Female Founder, the mother of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet says the show supports female entrepreneurs. “I’m so proud of what we’re creating,” Markle says of her new show, which debuted on April 8.
