Hong Kong-based Canadian celebrity Bonnie Chan is set to become a mother.

On Dec 12, the 34-year-old announced that she’s expecting a child with her husband Kuok Meng Jun, a deejay who’s also the grandson of Malaysian billionaire Robert Kuok – Malaysia's richest person.

“First came love, then came you,” Chan captioned her post, accompanied by a photo of Meng Jun embracing her on a beach.

The former TVB star also shared a short video on her Instagram Story, showing her gently caressing her baby bump, with the caption: “I’m going to be a mother.”

Meng Jun has also expressed his excitement about stepping into fatherhood, writing: “Excited for the journey that awaits.”

His Instagram Story was accompanied by a video of the couple strolling hand-in-hand along the beach.

Chan has kept a relatively low profile since announcing her marriage to Meng Jun in 2021.

After emerging as the third runner-up in the 2016 Miss Hong Kong beauty pageant, she built a career as a television host and actress, starring in dramas like Heart And Greed 3 and I Bet Your Pardon.

In 2020, Chan left the entertainment industry to pursue her passion for yoga and wellness, becoming a yoga instructor and launching her own brand.
