Malaysia was once again stirred by news of another celebrity divorce, this time involving renowned celebrity chef and singer Datuk Fazley Yaakob and his former wife, Azrene Soraya Abdul Aziz, following his confirmation in an announcement on Oct 15.
The Asmara Ini singer stated that the divorce was a mutual decision after 18 years of marriage.
According to Fazley, the divorce took place a few months ago, and the Iddah period had already concluded a few weeks prior.
He further added that custody of their four children would be shared between them.
"I hope this announcement clears any confusion about our relationship," Fazley said in a statement.
He added that his relationship with his ex-wife remains amicable, similar to how it was when they first met.
The couple have three sons: Ahmad Fariedz Shah, 15, Ahmad Fieradz Shah, 14, and Ahmad Fierudz Shah, 13, along with a daughter, Alayna Selma, seven. – Sinar Daily
