Hong Kong singer Edan Lui of the popular boy group Mirror has broken his silence on his relationship with Malaysian actress Lin Min Chen.

In a recent interview with the media, Lui admitted that they are getting to know each other and said he would inform everyone if there’s any good news.

When asked if he would meet up with Lin, 34, at her upcoming fan meet in Hong Kong later this month, the pop star urged the public to give them space and not speculate too much.

“If I want to meet, I’ll ask her out on my own. Everyone, please have mercy. Ask me if you would like to know anything. Don’t make things difficult for her,” the 27-year-old said.

Lui also addressed his relationship with Lin in a Threads post on Tuesday (Sept 10), admitting that he is pursuing her, though they are just friends for now.

“Min Chen is a great person. I have a good impression of her and am currently pursuing her.

“Hopefully, there will be room for our relationship to develop in the future. But for now, Min Chen and I are just friends, nothing more,” he wrote.

The popular singer also shared his statement on his Instagram Story, saying: "Just wanna be real."

Lui and Lin sparked dating rumours last month after they were spotted dining together in Europe.

At the time, Lui clarified that he was there for work and had simply asked Lin out for a meal as she happened to be in the same area.

While Lui dismissed the dating rumours then, he added: “Anything is possible. But for now, I will focus on my work and just go with the flow. I'll let you know if anything happens."
