Hong Kong-born singer Jackson Wang charmed fans with his gentlemanly and generous ways during a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur.

The 30-year-old member of K-pop boy band GOT7 was in the Malaysian capital on July 24 to attend the opening of the Louis Vuitton (LV) boutique at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur mall.

A crowd thronged the venue for a glimpse of him, but Wang was attentive to his fans and surroundings even as many jostled for selfies.

In a clip posted by a netizen to Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu on July 25, a woman carrying a baby can be seen among the attendees waiting for Wang in the boutique.

Upon seeing the baby, he approaches her and cups her baby’s feet lightly before turning back to the rest of the people to sign autographs and take pictures. But when the jostling grows more chaotic and someone accidentally bumps into the woman, he tells everyone: “Be careful, be careful.” He also uses his arms to shield the woman and her child.

The woman then proceeds to pose for photos with him. As he makes his way out of the venue, Wang continues to ask those in the boutique to pay attention to the baby and to keep mother and child safe.

The netizen captioned the clip: “It is in the details that you see someone’s character.”

Wang gave away an LV bag at the same event. In a clip posted to Xiaohongshu on July 26, he can be seen holding an LV box outside the boutique, in front of hundreds of fans gathered behind barriers set up around the venue.

He goes up close to the barrier and asks two people if they are a couple. When they say yes, he unboxes the item, takes out the bag – seemingly an LV Keepall Bandouliere that retails for RM12,000 – and passes it to them, before signing his name on the box it came in.

Wang has been jet-setting around the globe for luxury events of late. He attended LV Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 Show at Paris Fashion Week in June and was in Singapore on July 10 to celebrate jeweller Cartier’s iconic Trinity ring turning 100. Wang is a brand ambassador for both French luxury houses. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
