Celebrities hiding behind filters or posting heavily photoshopped of themselves on social media is nothing new. After all, they aim to present the most glamorous version of themselves to their fans.

However, when you possess natural beauty like Carina Lau, there's no need to worry about sharing filter-free photos online.

Recently, the beloved Hong Kong actress went on Instagram to share a video and a photo of herself without makeup, and definitely without filters.

The video shows Lau, barefaced, enjoying the rain.

"Suddenly there was a heavy rain, running in the rain is also a kind of enjoyment," the 58-year-old wrote.

Fans flooded the comment section heaping praises on Lau's beauty.

"Looks young and beautiful," a fan said.

"You look prettier with no make up and younger," another fan commented.

"How many female stars dare to upload photos with no make-up like Carina?" one fan asked.

"Healthy is the most beautiful," added another.

The last comment rings true for Lau, who is married to Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Chiu Wai.

When asked for beauty tips, the actress said in a previous interview that staying active is crucial.

“To me, beauty is about doing sports – perspiring, increasing your metabolism, drinking more water and resting more.

"These are the best beauty tips that I can give, and it’s free,” said Lau, who often goes for hikes with fellow actor Chow Yun Fat.
