Chinese actress Fan Bingbing is set to visit Melaka next month in conjunction with her appointment as the state’s tourism ambassador on June 15.
She will be in town from June 14 to 16 to promote Visit Melaka 2024 (TMM 2024) – a campaign which aims to reposition Melaka as an ideal tourism destination.
In a Facebook post on Monday (May 27), Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said he had met Jersey Chong, Fan’s international manager, to discuss the movie star’s visit.
“I believe the presence of Fan Bingbing, who’s been appointed as ambassador for Visit Melaka 2024 (TMM 2024) will attract more tourists, especially from China and Asia, to visit Melaka,” he added.
