Chinese rock star Wang Feng, a three-time divorcee, has confirmed that he’s dating social media influencer Li Qiao.

The singer announced his relationship status in a statement on May 20, a day deemed special as “520” (wu er ling) rhymes with the phrase “I love you” in Mandarin.

Rumours of the pair’s relationship surfaced when they were spotted spending Mother’s Day with Wang’s children. Paparazzi caught them going out for a meal together on May 12.

In a lengthy Weibo post, Wang revealed he met Li in Xinjiang due to work and quickly got enamoured by her personality.

“I was impressed by her dedication and optimism towards work and life. I also saw integrity and kindness in her. About four months after we met, we started dating,” the 52-year-old said.

Wang also dismissed claims of infidelity, stressing he only met Li two months after his divorce from actress Zhang Ziyi last October.

The singer also made it clear his divorce from Zhang was amicable, and there was no third party involved.

“The speculations are purely slander. Please stop believing in false news and hurting innocent people,” he said, adding he will take legal action against those who continue distorting facts about him and his loved ones.

Wang married Zhang in May 2015. The divorced pair have two children together.

He first tied the knot with TV host Qi Dan in 2003, but they divorced a year later.

His second marriage in 2007 was with a woman named Kang Zuoru, but it ended in 2013. They have a daughter together.
