Hong Kong celebrity couple Him Law and Tavia Yeung have been married for seven years and their love remains as strong as ever.

In a recent interview with HK01, Law described Yeung as his "comrade-in-arms", whose words and actions give him a peace of mind during moments of vulnerability.

The 39-year-old said he's thankful towards Yeung, 44, for choosing to love him despite the initial scepticism surrounding their romance when they first started dating in 2011 after filming the drama The Hippocratic Crush (2012).

According to Law, Yeung was much more famous than him at the time, and many naysayers questioned his intentions, claiming he was just riding on her popularity.

"During the time when I was at my most mediocre, when I was neither good nor bad, she chose to have faith in me.

"There were plenty of doubts at the time. Her reputation surpassed mine and many claimed I was taking advantage ... that I was using her to increase my own fame," he said.

The TVB star also acknowledged Yeung's unwavering trust in him and her decision to marry and start a family with him.

The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Hera, and a two-year-old son, Eden.

"She even reduced her workload (for me). Had she not chosen to marry me, her achievements would likely have been greater. I'm truly grateful for her," he said.

Law and Yeung, who tied the knot in 2016, have never shied away from showing their love in public.

Last August, Law received a surprise visit from his wife and their two children while filming the drama Modern Dynasty 2 in Malaysia.

He was also in the country last April to accompany Yeung for the filming of the fourth season of 8TV's Family Singing Show – in which she was appointed as one of the judges.
