K-pop singer Ailee to hold her first solo concert in KL on June 22

American singer-songwriter Ailee will be holding her first solo concert at Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur on June 22.

The I Am: Here In Kuala Lumpur concert promises an immersive experience filled with electrifying performances.

Fans can also expect the K-pop star to serenade them with some of her biggest hits, ranging from powerful ballads to catchy dance tunes.

Hailed as the “Beyonce of South Korea”, Ailee – who’s based in the country – has captivated audiences with her vocal prowess, excellent stage presence and powerful songs centred around women empowerment.

The 34-year-old made her debut in 2012 with the hit song Heaven and has since released four studio albums, 26 music videos, six extended plays, 23 singles and over 30 original soundtracks.

Her other achievements also includes four consecutive wins for Best Female Vocal Performance at the Mnet Asian Music Awards – U&I (2013), Singing Got Better (2014), Mind Your Own Business (2015) and If You (2016).

Her 2017 single I Will Go To You Like The First Snow, recorded for the K-drama Guardian: The Lonely And Great God, was the best-performing single of the year. It is also the best-selling record in movies and dramas in the Korean sound record market.
