The Tabung Bantuan Khas Palestin (Special Palestine Aid Fund) will be receiving RM11,000, thanks to Suria FM and AC Gas – who contributed the amount during the SuriaVolusi concert held at The Curve in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, last Saturday (Oct 21).

The money will be handed over to Malaysian songbird Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, who established the special fund through her company, Yayasan Nurjiwa, together with crowdfunding platform Kita Fund.

In a statement, Suria FM General Manager DJ Lin said the donation was a sign of compassion to those in Palestine and urged everyone to show support and stand in solidarity with those in Gaza.

Additionally, DJ Lin said that Suria FM and AC Gas will be working with non-governmental organisation Cakna Palestin Malaysia for the upcoming SuriaVolusi concert at KB Mall in Kelantan this Saturday (Oct 28), so attendees are encouraged to make donations.

AC Gas will also be handing over cash donations to the Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim Dan Dhufa' Darul Mizan, Masjid Al-Ridhuan in Kubang Kerian and also Cakna Palestin Malaysia at the upcoming event in Kota Bharu.

"We are a little nervous as we at Suria FM have not met fans in Kelantan for a long time. Nevertheless, we will keep working hard and pray for everything to go well," DJ Lin said.

The SuriaVolusi concert in Kelantan will start at 3pm and will end at 6pm. Attendees can expect exciting performances from artistes like Azlan And The Typewriter, Aju Success, Halim Yazid & Dikir Barat and Renggo Arrow.

In addition to interacting with Suria FM's presenters and enjoying performances from local artistes, parents can also encourage their kids – aged between seven to 12 – to join the colouring competition which will be held from noon until 2pm.

Participation is free and winners also stand a chance to receive exciting prizes such as a bicycle, scooter, school bag and hampers.
