Many of us have probably been told to refrain from carrying large sums of cash in public due to possible dangers.

But that hasn't stopped Malaysian-born actress Jacquelin Ch'ng from carrying, not thousands but millions in cash.

In a recent vlog on YouTube, Ch'ng, 43, could be seen walking to a cryptocurrency store in Hong Kong to make an investment.

The TVB star seemed carefree as she strolled along the busy street with a yellow recyclable bag on her left arm and an Hermes bag on her right.

To everyone's surprise, after dropping the yellow tote off at the store's counter, the clerk pulled out stacks of bills which came up to HK$2mil (RM1.2mil).

Ch'ng's way of carrying her seven-figure sum has baffled social media users, China Press reported.

Many wondered if the actress was aware of the dangers of carrying large amounts of cash in such a crowded area while some said that she was just flaunting her wealth.

"Who would have thought you can carry two million in a recyclable bag," one netizen said.

Another added: "Aside from showing off, I can't think of why you need to carry two million in cash when going out to the streets."

Ch'ng is the older sister of actress Lisa, 36, who is in a relationship with TVB actor Mat Yeung.

They are daughters to late Malaysian businessman Datuk Bill Ch'ng Chong Poh, who was once a board member of a publicly listed Hong Kong company, and their family businesses cover jewellery, paper and real estate.

A Hong Kong entertainment portal reported that the Ch'ng family is worth at least HK$800mil (RM467.2mil).
