Hong Kong singer Alan Tam recently sparked concerns after revealing that he had lost 6.8kg in four days due to low immunity, China Press reported.

In an update on Weibo, Tam revealed that he had fallen ill after his concert on July 10. His post was accompanied by a photo of himself with sunken cheeks.

The 72-year-old wrote: “The doctor said my excessive sweating had left me susceptible to infections, and I lost a total of 15 pounds.

“My health had been on the decline. But on the morning of (July 14), my condition improved and I regained my appetite.”

In a more recent update on Sunday (July 16), Tam assured fans that he was doing well and expressed desire to engage in some sports after days of resting.

His post was accompanied by several photos of himself on a treadmill. He appeared to be in good spirits too.

“I only have mild coughs now. After resting for a few days, I feel like going out to play football. But I had to give up the idea due to bad weather,” he said.

Tam is a well-known fitness buff who enjoys partaking various sports.

In 2020, the Cantopop star wowed netizens after sharing photos of himself trying wakesurfing for the first time. He was 70 then.

Tam has also posted photos on social media of him jogging, playing badminton and playing football too.
