Action-comedy Polis Evo 3 has earned RM50mil within 24 days of its official release and sneak preview.

This news was shared in a press release, which also stated that the third film in the successful Polis Evo franchise is now "the No.1 best-selling action-comedy film in Malaysia of all time".

The film produced by Astro Shaw in collaboration with Skop Productions is into its fourth week of screening in cinemas across Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore.

Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, the executive producer of Polis Evo 3 and also the VP, Head of Astro Shaw & Malay Nusantara Business, thanked the fans who continue to support the film and hoped the success will inspire fellow artistes "to continue creating high quality films as audiences have proven their support for local films".

"This RM50mil success cements Polis Evo as the No.1 top-grossing Malaysian franchise," she added.

Directed by Syafiq Yusof, this latest movie sees Zizan Razak and Shaheizy Sam reprising their roles as two police inspectors.

It also features Sharnaaz Ahmad, Nora Danish, Syafiq Kyle, Farali Khan, Douglas Lim, Fauzi Nawawi, Fezrul Khan and Eyka Farhana.

For the record, Syamsul Yusof's Mat Kilau remains as the No.1 film in the Malaysian box office chart. In 2022, Mat Kilau had earned RM47mil in just 11 days after premiering at cinemas in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
