Aina Abdul performed at the A Night With Aina Abdul Uni Edition concert at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday (June 17) night.

The singer, who has a tendency to wear outlandish outfits during her stage performances, appeared in a fairly simple outfit for the concert.

However, behind that simplistic style, Aina was wearing diamond accessories worth RM1.6mil

According to Aina or Nurul Aina Abdul Ghani, 29, she picked that style for the night as they fitted the songs she was performing.

"I rarely wear accessories. For tonight (Saturday), the price of this jewellery is RM1.6mil. It's also a sign of my collaboration with a brand in the future... God willing.

"I feel more comfortable with this simple appearance because it suits the songs I am performing. There are no songs that require me to experiment," she told mStar.

She said this when media met her after the performance at the first location of the university edition concert. Aina will be performing at several other higher education institutions next.

Aina also expressed concern of the recent issue of students partying at a university, that led to calls to ban such events on campus.

"I found out about the news while in the rehearsal process on Friday. I was scared because we were halfway through organising the concert.

"Fortunately, I received assistance from music director Datuk Mokhzani who spoke to the parties involved to proceed with the concert," she said stating that she abided by the campus set rules.

During the 90-minute, Aina performed nine of her own songs such as Ghost, Sumpah, Sepi, Terus Hidup, and her new song titled Puas Sudah.

She also sang a medley of popular Indonesian songs such as Sang Dewi, Hijrah Cinta, and Tak Ingin Usai.

Despite not feeling well that night, the singer still performed energetically with captivating vocals so as not to disappoint her fans.

"What can I do? I'm also a human being. There are times when we are not feeling well. But this is not the first time I've experienced this situation.

"I have performed 30 songs while being less healthy. The show must go on because I have promised the fans," she said.
