Malaysia’s popular songstress, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin will once again share the stage with renowned music producer and composer, David Foster in the Hitman: David Foster And Friends Asia Tour 2023 exclusive concert to be held at the Mega Star Arena, Sungei Wang Plaza, in Kuala Lumpur, on Aug 7.

Also featuring other international powerhouses such as Michael Bolton, Peabo Bryson, Loren Allred and Katharine McPhee, the concert is organised by Yayasan Prihatin Nasional (Prihatin), established to provide various assistance to the poor and disadvantaged, in collaboration with B De Paris Beauty Project Ent.

As the only Malaysian artiste to perform with the pop music maestro, Siti Nurhaliza said she is determined to give her best performance.

"The first time I collaborated with David Foster in an exclusive performance was nine years ago...I was then invited to perform together with him several times in Indonesia, but it was not meant to be.

"I am grateful and feel lucky and believe that this is the best platform to show my talent...with the emergence of many good and talented young singers, David's management team still chose me," she said at a press conference held in conjunction with the concert, in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday (June 7).

The award-winning singer is slated to perform a song written by the prolific composer and one of her songs at the concert.

According to her, it is every artiste’s dream to perform on the same stage with Foster, and she feels "small" after looking at the list of international performers that will be involved.

"Besides, I am not known internationally, only known in Asia, but I believe it is not too late for me to be recognised on the international stage at the age of 44," she said.

Siti Nurhaliza will also be performing with Foster in Singapore on Aug 8.

Meanwhile, Yayasan Prihatin's chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Aizuddin Ghazali said part of the proceeds from the concert will be used to provide educational benefits to underprivileged university students from the asnaf (eligible to receive tithe) and B40 categories.

"This is the first time we are hosting a large-scale concert involving international singers.

"InsyaAllah, part of the proceeds from the ticket sales will be channelled to Tabung Kasih Prihatin," he said.

Tickets are priced at RM288, RM688, RM788 and RM988 and can be purchased at www.myticket.asia. – Bernama
