If there's one person who knows how to adhere to the hashtag #treatyourself, it is actress Carol Cheng.

The Hong Kong star recently posted on Instagram a photo of herself in a first-class cabin on a Singapore Airlines flight.

Cheng, 65, was enroute from Hong Kong to Singapore.

"Singapore was the first country I ever travelled to. I was financially strapped back then but was very curious about Singapore.

"Today, I am going to Singapore again – she is like an old friend, and the whole trip is a time to pamper myself," wrote Cheng, affectionately known as Do Do to fans.

Singapore is indeed like an old friend to Cheng. In the early 2000s, Cheng was based in Singapore for some time as she starred in two seasons of the English sitcom, Oh Carol!

Cheng started her career with TVB in 1975. She became a household name in the 1980s starring in hit series such as The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, The Brothers and The Feud Of Two Brothers.

In October last year, Cheng announced she was leaving TVB after spending over four decades with the broadcaster.

The actress told Hong Kong media that ever since her departure, she's been getting many offers.

She is reported to be working on a new travel show.

"Fortunately, I have filmed travel shows since 2014 and gone to various countries, so I do have the experience," she told Mingpao.
