The following report has been revealed to be an elaborate hoax. More details in this article.

Canadian actor Saint Von Colucci died after undergoing 12 plastic surgeries to look like K-pop superstar Jimin of BTS, Daily Mail reported.

He was 22.

The publication reported that Colucci passed away at a South Korean hospital Sunday (April 23) morning after suffering complications from the cosmetic procedures he had a few months ago.

The actor's publicist Eric Blake told the Daily Mail that Colucci developed an infection from the jaw implants he put in last November and had to undergo surgery Saturday (April 22) night to remove it.

However, the procedure went south, and he had to be intubated and ultimately died hours later.

Blake said that Colucci forked out US$220,000 (RM979,110) for 12 cosmetic procedures over the last year – including jaw surgery, a nose job, a face lift, lip reduction, an eyebrow lift, eye lift and other minor surgeries.

He added that the actor was aware of the risks involved with the jaw implant surgery but insisted in continuing the procedure as he was "insecure about his looks".

"He had a very square jawline and chin, and he didn't like the shape of it because he thought it was too wide. He wanted a V-shape, the shape many Asians have," Blake said.

It's reported that Colucci was in South Korea to star in the K-drama Pretty Lies.

The series, which wrapped up filming last December, is said to air this October on a major US streaming network.

Colucci came to South Korea in 2019, with a dream of breaking into the music industry.

According to Blake, a firm brought the young actor over and paid for his housing, transportation and living expenses.

"It was very hard from him to get a job in South Korea, and he felt very discriminated against his Western looks," he added.
