Suria FM has achieved a spectacular milestone after emerging as the radio station with the highest weekly time spent listening (TSL) among four commercial Malay-language stations.
According to the latest GFK Radio Hearing Measurement survey, Wave 1 2023, Suria FM recorded a weekly TSL of 7 hours and 28 minutes – an increase of 1 hour and 6 minutes compared to data in the last survey.
The Suria Cinta segment (Sunday to Friday, 8pm to 1am), hosted by the award-winning DJ Lin, has the highest TSL among all Malay-language commercial stations, with 3 hours and 10 minutes. The programme also saw an increase of 210,000 weekly listeners compared to the previous numbers.
Its weekday show Gaya Suria (10am to 1pm), hosted by Cik Piah, recorded the highest TSL among four top Malay-language radio stations, with a TSL of 2 hours and 13 minutes. The segment saw an increase of 135,000 weekly listeners.
Other segments including Morning Morning Suria (weekdays, 6am to 10am), Muzik Top Suria (weekdays, 1pm to 3pm), Suria Petang (weekdays, 3pm to 7pm) and Suria Pagi (weekends, 6am to 10am) continue exhibiting an upward trend, with all of it recording the highest TSL among four Malay-language stations.
"Alhamdulillah based on the latest results (of the GFK Radio Hearing Measurement survey), this proves that Suria FM is still relevant to our loyal listeners who have been supporting us.
"Our Hari Raya drama, Raya Akhir, also placed fifth on YouTube's trending list after gaining 250,000 views in 48 hours. This will surely motivate us to continue improving our content for listeners," said DJ Lin, who's also the station's general manager, in a statement.
