After tying the knot with Taiwanese businessman Xiaojin in May, Japanese singer Makiyo announced on Oct 30 that she had given birth to a baby boy.

While the event was a happy experience for the couple, it was short-lived. Five days after the announcement, the Keep Me Forever and First Love singer rendered netizens speechless after blasting her husband on social media.

In a two-hour Facebook live, the 38-year-old artiste slammed her husband for various misdeeds. Among them include smoking and playing with his phone at the confinement centre, adding ice to her drinks, eating her meals to save money, and unable to wake up when she asked him to call the nurse for painkillers.

She also complained that her husband would leave their newborn son directly underneath the air-cond vent.

“This angered me so much that my blood pressure went up to 160bpm,” the singer said.

Makiyo went on to explain how leaving the bed to use the bathroom would take her at least 30 minutes due to her C-section. Rather than being understanding, the singer claimed her husband insisted she lose weight instead.

“He forced me to drink 3.5 litres of water a day so I could quickly lose my pregnancy weight,” she shared.

Aside from being irresponsible, Makiyo also accused her husband for being superficial.

On Nov 3, Makiyo's husband shared an Instagram story where he talked about his wife displaying bad temper after her C-section. He assured everyone that he still loved her at the end of his post. Photo: Xiaojin/Instagram

To recap, on Nov 3, Xiaojin shared an Instagram story revealing that Makiyo was displaying various symptoms after delivery – bad temper specifically. At the end of his post, he assured everyone that he still loved her.

On the livestream, however, Makiyo said that her husband packed his bags and left the confinement centre that very same day.

However, Makiyo’s agency clarified with Chinese media that Xiaojin left under Makiyo’s request, and that he returned to the confinement centre later that day in tears, requesting Makiyo if he could stay.
