Rumor Has It that Adele has her sights set on a new goal after she finishes her Las Vegas residency.

At an event in Los Angeles on Oct 24, Adele answered questions from fans. Asked if there are topics she would be interested in learning more about, the singer said "after Vegas, I really want to get a degree in English literature."

"It's something that, if I hadn't made it in my singing, I think I would definitely be a teacher. I think I would be an English lit teacher," she said, telling fans that she wishes she had attended college and it's her plan for "2025 vibes".

But don't expect to see the Someone Like You singer taking notes inside a classroom. She clarified that she could receive her degree online and with a tutor.

Adele reunited with one of her former teachers during a concert special last year. She was taking questions from a celebrity audience, when actress Emma Thompson asked if there was someone who supported her when she was younger.

The singer cited Ms McDonald from Chestnut Grove School who sparked her interest in literature.

"She was so bloody cool, so engaging, and she really made us care, and we knew that she cared about us and stuff like that," Adele said. "I really looked forward to my English lessons."

Thompson then revealed that McDonald was in the crowd, and the teacher and singer hugged on stage.

"Oh my god. No you really did change my life," Adele said at the time.

She wouldn't be the first celebrity to seek a degree after becoming famous. Actor Emma Watson attended Brown University after she began starring in the Harry Potter films, along with other celebrities who went back to school.

Adele's residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas begins next month. – USA Today/Tribune News Service
