Taiwanese singer Jay Chou's latest music video has an international flavour.
The video for Chou's latest song, Cold Hearted, features the popular US hip-hop dance group Jabbawockeez, known for wearing white gloves and masks when performing.
This marks the first time Jabbawockeez is collaborating with a Mandopop artiste since its rise to fame. Jabbawockeez was crowned the winner on the first season of the US dance competition America Dance Crew in 2008.
Kevin "Kb" Brewer, one of the members of Jabbawockeez, said it was a thrill to work with the the Mandopop King, especially since he was impressed with Chou's acting duty as Kato in the 2011 action film, The Green Hornet.
"I think (Jay) did well in playing the character of Kato, that sidekick who is kind of mysterious, has this amazing skill, and funny. I appreciated his performance in that movie. That’s the major catalyst that got me onboard with this collaboration," Brewer said of the dance crew's decision to work with the Taiwanese singer.
Chou added: "Maybe I should have matched Jabbawockeez's masked style, and worn the Kato mask in the music video too!"
The music video, released on Oct 21, has close to 10 million views.
