Look who’s flying – John Travolta adds to aviation resume with new license

He’s cleared for takeoff. Again.

Actor John Travolta celebrated a big addition to his aviation resume this week by becoming a licensed 737 pilot. He invited fans to join his new high on Instagram.

“Very proud moment in my aviation history,” Travolta said on March 21. “To add to my 747 and 707 licenses, I just received my 737 license and it went very well, so just sharing my moment with you.”

The 68-year-old Be Cool star smiled ear-to-ear as he stood in front of a plane and made his announcement. According to the Boeing airline company, their 737s carry up to 220 passengers.

VelvetRopes.com reports that Travolta got his first pilots license in 1976 and is the owner of a Boeing 707. The American has played a pilot in the 1996 action film Broken Arrow as well as the blockbuster Look Who’s Talking series.

Travolta married actress Kelly Preston in 1991. They remained together until her death in 2020 at the age of 57. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
