American singer Doja Cat, who once dismissed Covid-19, and calling it "a flu", has contracted the virus for the second time.

The music artiste updated her fans on social media on Sunday (Dec 12) that she as well as a few members of her production team tested positive for Covid-19. She has since cancelled a few of her scheduled performances.

"I'm doing OK and look forward to recovering and getting back out there as soon as I can!" the 26-year-old wrote on social media, adding that her "spirits are down".

Last year in March, she told her fans via Instagram Live that she is not scared of the virus.

"Take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep. That's all you've got to do," she told people who tested positive of coronavirus to do.

Doja then contracted the virus herself, she confirmed in July 2020.
